Kalena is the Founder, Director
and Trainer for Healthy Family Living (HFL).
She leads the four day training,
which is the first step toward
certifying Instructors of Infant Massage. She also provides
specialized trainings for Compassionate Beginnings™ in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (formerly known as Compassionate Touch) and Massage with Babies and Children
with Special Needs. Kalena continues to develop
programs for AFHFL to bring the benefits of
compassionate touch to people of every age.
A Foundation for Healthy Family Living was founded
in 1997 by Kalena to enhance the quality of life
of individuals and their families. Kalena’s passion
and visionary presentation of infant massage is
enhanced by her extensive training and experience
in nursing, massage therapy, education, ministry
and motherhood. She has taught Infant Massage
and Communication internationally since 1986
and served as Trainer of Instructors with the
International Association of Infant Massage
from 1989 to 1999.
