About HFL

A Foundation for Healthy Family Living™ believes love, compassion, and respect are necessities for a healthy family. We are dedicated to cultivating healthy families and communities by developing and implementing educational programs that enhance the expression of respectful communication and nurturing touch.

Upon hearing the statement that "individuals need to learn better ways to express love, respect, and nurturance to enhance communication within families" people generally agree.

Unfortunately, many people are unfamiliar with ways to make that happen. Media reports include numerous symptoms that reflect disturbances that result from not having participated in respectful, nurturing relationships. Being able to communicate in this manner is the educational goal of A Foundation for Healthy Family Living™.

A Foundation for Healthy Family Living™ (HFL) was founded in 1997 by Kalena Babeshoff to cultivate compassionate touch in the lives of individuals and their families. Kalena's visionary presentation of infant massage is enhanced by her extensive training and experience in nursing, massage therapy, education, ministry, and motherhood. She has taught Infant Massage and Communication internationally since 1986 and served as Trainer of Instructors with the International Association of Infant Massage from 1989 to 1999.

Kalena has great passion for her work, knowing that the sharing of compassionate touch and respectful listening profoundly enhances the quality of everyone's life.

Kalena is the Director and Trainer for HFL. She leads the four day training which is the first step toward certifying Instructors of Infant Massage. She also develops HFL programs to bring the benefits of compassionate touch to people of every age.
