A Foundation for Healthy Family Living envisions a world where all children are raised with respectful communication and nurturing touch. As these children grow, so grows our capacity for peace around the globe. The work of AFHFL is to provide the programs and education that teaches people how to care for children so that, from the very beginning of life they are raised with love and respect. This in turn shapes their brains, the developing sense of self and their future.
Even those parents who came from histories of various types of abuse and violence learn and are empowered with the tools of how to respectfully care and communicate with their child, thus they may directly contribute to breaking the cycle of abuse.
Your generous donations will ensure the health and reach of our evidence-based programs in Touch Communication™. This is greatly needed as according to the Children’s Defense Fund, there is a confirmed case of child abuse or neglect every 35 seconds in America. Education is key to changing this tragic cycle.
